G141 New York 7 @ Leningrad 3

A 3-run 4th off Haley puts New York ahead, and they stay there. Juggernaut has the big game; 3 for 4, 4 RBIs, 1 run. Tan good for the Bears. The big play is with two men on base, Cousteau singles and the baserunners are both thrown out. Race gets a little tighter. Just when Leningrad seems to be inching away for good, their momentum falters and a runner up closes in.

G140 Morgantown 6 @ Stratford 8

Once more, Morgantown surges late: 2 in the 8th and 3 in the 9th. But it is too little too late. Polonius gets a save, but barely. He almost blows it. Gautier gunning for MVP. Morgantown and Stratford both wanting to get out of the middle class they are mired in.

G138 Morgantown 3 @ London 1

Two struggling teams have at it. Morgantown wins a close one. Mercifully, ERAs go down this game, way down in cases like Sol who came in with an ERA above 19.00. Ulysses steals three bases.

Another late-game win for Morgantown. Two runs in the 8th win it. Iago appears for the first time in a long time and gives up his first run of the year, a homer to Brick, a tough out.

G136 Stratford 2 @ Yoknapatawpha 5

Two good pitchers go head to head in an important game. Fielding plays a huge role. Hamlet gives up 5 runs, but only 2 are earned. The other three happen as a result of errors-- 5 in all for Startford. Yok Co flawless. Clinton gets a nother win as the Scriveners hang tough with Leningrad, a mer e 1.5 games back.

San Nar bounces back from a loss to lowly London to beat the Curs. Bruce's homer is not enough. seneca still hitting well for New York, a nice surprise. Levi-Strauss gets his 7th win to lead the league, and he gets anotehr complete game. He is the leader for best pitcher in the league-- tops in Ks, wins, and close to it in ERA among starters.
